Reminder: Salsa Night on 25th July 2014 at the Lestari Restaurant, Jalan Drupadi for the Helen E. Newman Scholarship project. Tickets IDR 150,000 pp. including welcome drink, finger foods all night and one hour of instruction. Vouchers (valid for 12 months) for 5×1 hour Salsa lessons -IDR 800,000 for one instructor and IDR 1million for two instructors at your home or at a restaurant in Seminyak. There was an exciting Salsa demonstration by two Salsa experts and then Rtn . Florian showed us what could be done after a couple of Salsa Lessons.
Rtns. Detlev and Lusi raised IDR 10,115,000 with 70 guests attending their special brunch cooked by Marialla. Great job guys!
Ruth, the Personal Assistant to the manager of Warisan (Cetin) thanked RCBS for their generous tip to the service staff at Warisan for their good service during the past Rotary term.
PN. Barbara and PP. Robin reported on the Rotary International Convention in Sydney, which they both attended along with 18,000 other Rotarians from around the world. PN. Barbara and PP. Robin then presented to P. Raphael with a banner from the RI International Convention in Sydney.
Hon. Member Mary Northmore presented PN. Barbara with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ from the Yayasan Senyum (Smile Foundation) for all of her hard work for the “Have a Heart” fundraiser held in February, 2014 . PN. Barbara graciously said that she received the certificate on behalf of all members of her Fundraising Committee.

Guest speaker, PP. Sue Winski from RC Ubud Sunset spoke about her club’s project, “Klinik Anggrek”, which is sponsored by Global Grant No. 1326281 for testing, treatment and assisting local people with HIV/AIDS and STD. She also gave us valuable insight into applying for a Global Grant.
P. Raphael announced to members that this was the last Rotary meeting for his term 2013-14. Well done Raphael , it has been a good year.
Raffle: A ‘Youth Spa’ voucher was kindly donated by Rotary guest, Richard O’Brien , and it was won by Rtn. Marie Francois.
The Raffle raised: Nett IDR 850,000
Happy/Sad donations raised IDR 235,000.
