Electrician's Apprenticeship

A well-know fact that after the Bali Bombing, many individuals in the Tourism Industry lost their jobs which in turn caused much hardship for individual families. The RC of Bali – Seminyak has planned a program with it hopes will offer suitable candidates an opportunity to “retrain” as electricians. The program will be a full time, six-days-a week, three-month course. The training will be conducted by a highly-qualified Swiss electrical contractor who owns and operates Swisindo Company here in Bali.

The program’s goals are to teach the participants some theory in the morning sessions and practical applications in the afternoons. Each participant can expect to achieve a level that could see him/her competent enough to do work in a Western standard home or small business. Good electricians are always in demand in Bali.

The cost per participant is approximately US$350.00 for one three-month course. The Club has a target of offering this program to 12 individuals during the first year of operation. A total of US$ 4,200 is being sought for this Program.
