From Join Visit to Pig Farm for Tista Village

Rotary Bali
Nov 2016 – Towards community pig farm in January 2017. From the very effective join visit to Tista Village, Karangasem on 15 September 2016, our sister club – Rotary Club of Monasque, France has agreed and committed to support a humanitarian project in Bali.
For better plan & preparation, pig farm project will begin in January 2017, that will involve Rotarian, guests, and volunteers from Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak & Rotary Club of Monasque, France. In associated with Tista Village, following vision screening and cataract surgery which was done on 03 & 04 October 2016, we are scheduling local pig farming for poor villagers. Raising & breeding local pig in Bali has become one of activity to generate income for the villagers. This would be a good applicable plan for the people in Tista Village to start the possible financial sustainability in medium term. We target to help 10 families on the first batch. Those 10 families will then help another 10 families in the village where we could later on involve more families to start generating incomes. The Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak will definitely work with locals for the successful of the project.
